Aldwych Theatre

The Aldwych Theatre

First opened its doors Christmas eve 1905. Edwardian in its architecture, designed by W. G . R Sprague. It had some long-running shows, although never quite making its mark until recently with some of the top-selling shows in the West End. From the 1960’s until the 1980’s, it was the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company that has since relocated to the Barbican Theatre. From my research Dirty Dancing seems to be the top choice for anniversary celebrations where couples normally book the hotel with theatre tickets.
